THERE'S A PARTY ON MY HEAD.

I've been thinking about cutting my hair really short à la Tao Okamoto mod-style because it starts to get on my nerves that I have to spend 40 minutes on my hair before going out whilst I could just cut it off and spend like... less than 10 minutes on it.
Anyhoo... these fur/stud/leather hairclips are sooooo amazing, I think every headdress-crazy person would want them, and I've been obsessing over animal ears/horns/etc to put on my head for a while.

Just look at how Shinohara pulls headpieces off... I mean... I've seen her pulling off almost everything from a Barbie to long fuzzy tails and now look at her! A CAT!!
Don't underrate the power of headdresses ;D haha

Comme des Garcons

It's not so my type to wax lyrical about runway images, since I'm not a 'fashion critique' per se, so humor me please...
I can't quite put it into words but I felt immensely pleased when I saw the SS10 Comme des Garcons collection, because it sums up all the things I've been day-dreaming about for the last couple of weeks/months, which are LEATHER. PATCHWORK. BUCKLES. HARNESSES. NUDE DRESSES. COLOUR.
I see some serious DIY prospects in there... don't you?
Those runway images don't do the clothes justice. Not that I have seen it in person, but I can just imagine there are many little twists and interesting details that you only see in person. I'm pretty sure even the people in the first row wanted to take another closer look.
Anyway, Rei Kawakubo is a genius, I'm sure nobody will argue with that.
Here's a little collage I made of the amazing details

RAWR.

Wow I love this Where the Wild Things are frenzy, and when I saw that headband, I just couldn't help but post about it. It's definitely on my to-buy list this Winter haha, I love humor in fashion and those pieces all have something unique, cute and stylish about them.
Much love to OPENING CEREMONY. hell yeah.

THE IMMORALIST

I usually ignore those kind of e-mails as a result of being victim of scam and because I find them kind of weird because my blog is... well I'm no Susie Bubble and I definitely don't work in fashion... at all. I'm just a "struggling artist" if you must know.
Anyway with that said, Surgery PR sent me these pictures from the recent Ziad Ghanem SS10 show so I decided to get out of my usual theme-box, jump on the promotion band-wagon and feature this.
In fact, the denim items, as seen on picture number 1, are a result of the collaboration with Firetrap and will be auctioned and exhibited at City Hall to support the Mayors fund for London.

Personally, the jumpsuit is my favourite item of the collection, I'd wear that in a blink... just saying... ;D

So if there are any fellow Londoners interested, get down there and bid!!!

This is fun.
I adore ridiculously large clothes, I'm actually pretty obsessed with large clothes, I never buy a T-shirt that's actually my size... Last year I bought a faux fur coat that was at least five sizes too large... Actually even at the sight of my giraffe neck I cringe and throw over an absurdly large scarf. Whatever the weather, I'd rather sweat than go "naked".
Right now, the prospect of Autumn/Winter clothes starts to sink in and become everyday a little more appealing, just thinking about going wild on the layering makes me squee (even though I hate snow and cold weather) haha.
